Who is Tellus?

During their time in the Peace Corps, founders Joe & Melissa saw how big industry had the potential to devastate or uplift a community and vowed that Tellus would do the latter. Every supplier in the US and in Vietnam has been vetted through research or in-person visits to ensure they share our standard of excellence and, more importantly, our ethics around the fair treatment of workers.

More About Us at Tellus

Tellus pledged to donate 100% of net profits to organizations that directly combat our biggest environmental challenges, including coral reef protection, land & water conservation, and reforestation.

World Animal Day

World Animal Day

Happy World Animal Day!

  1. Donate to our year-round efforts to increase standards for animal husbandry for reptiles and amphibians!

We provide education to the public in the form of adoption counseling, lectures at schools and colleges, and private inquiries. Our organization exists because of the donations from caring people like you!

Consider making a monthly donation to help provide continuous education, rescue, and conservation advocacy to Colorado.

  2. Explore events happening all over the globe for World Animal Day.

  3. Spend some quality time with your pet.

Hit up a local park you haven’t been to in a while with your dog. Spend some time playing with your cat. Try a new kind of treat or training exercise with your bird. Give your reptile some enrichment opportunities and check in on their wellness. Can you give their enclosure a little extra TLC?

  4. Consider the impact we have on:

    • Companion animals

    • Wild animals

    • Farm and working animals

    • Animals used in tourism and entertainment

    • Animals used in experiments

    • Marine animals

…especially when planning outings and grocery shopping. Small efforts can make a big difference!

  5. Understand how your local recycling process works. If you’re in the habit of tossing all unwashed plastics into the recycling bin, make sure you know what kinds of materials your local recycling facility can process so you don’t accidentally contaminate a collection of materials well-intentioned folks like you recycled!
